New rulings et banned

In regards to Chain Throw, this card is not violating any standard ability policy and in and of itself it is no problem – thus this ability does not really need to be issued errata. The problem lies in blanket effects that move attacks to the momentum – namely *Adon* and To the Bone.

So Starting today “To the Bone” will be added to the banned list and *Adon* will have a slight errata. Adon will read from this point forward:

R Commit: Before drawing cards at the beginning of your turn, do not draw any. While committed, your attacks get +2 damage and any attack that deals damage is immediately placed into your DISCARD PILE.

*Adon* will move cards from the card pool to the discard pile instead of your momentum. This will allow *Adon* to still be a powerhouse of the aggressive deck builds, but not create the problems we have seen from moving to the momentum. We will reprint *Adon* as soon as we can. To the Bone has been a design concern for a while and with it out of the environment and *Adon* having been issued errata, this will free up R&D to explore some other options. Similar effects will be produced in the future, just in the form of abilities that work on a one shot basis instead of an overreaching blanket effect.

Kasumi Gaki is another card that we wil be keeping an eye on. The card does some pretty amazing things and maybe a little over the line. The lack of consistency with its combos has us wondering about how much of a problem this card could turn out to be. We have seen some other combos that are infinite if those attacks are not blocked. These other combos do not lead us to much concern as blocking is part of the game and when you build a deck without the ability to block, that is a risk you are choosing to make. Many of these infinite combos are no more difficult to pull off than a One Attack Kill or One Turn Kill – thus we are less inclined to panic. However we will be watching Kasumi Gaki and will take action once it is deemed a problem. We would really like to keep the card around because it creates some interesting possibilities – however time will judge its viability. If it gets out of control in the coming days we will errata that card. So I would recommend that if you want to keep this card around, don’t abuse it! Personally, if I pulled one from a pack I would keep it, however I would not pay the big bucks to acquire them.

RULING CHANGE

We are changing a rule in a slight way to keep a tight hold on loop holes that could be abused.

Character Only Cards now plays as:

500.4 Some cards will have a “Character Name Only” keyword. This means that this card may only be played or attempted by the player if their character card in play is a copy of the named character. If a “Character Only” card is in your staging area and you are not playing a copy of the named character then the “Character Only” card is immediately destroyed.
Effects that override this ability will specifically state the overriding of this interaction - namely the mythical forthcoming Olcadan promo card. Kasumi Gaki opened up a world of possibilities with the Promo version of Yoshitora that we were just not comfortable with. This simple change of a ruling will allow R&D to sleep better at night. However if you do something like play Reversal against a character only attack, this will not effect that interaction.

Toujour la meme discussion, to the bone etait trop fort, ils l'on bannis, c'est pas trop tot

En effet, à cause de To The Bone un grand nombre de cartes à loop ont été erratées ou bannies. Ils ont enfin compris où était le soucis.

Avec les nouvelles règles pour les cartes character only, si je copie un asset avec dominance et que cet asset est perso only, ben en gros mon dominance il va à la poubelle direct, c'est bien ça ?

oui comme c'est une copie. Et comme c'est au moment de l'attempt elle est détruite avant le control check.

Bon je sais personne la joue de toutes façons cette carte, mais moi en chaos c'est presque mon seul moyen de gérer Yoga Mastery :p

La force de dominance par rapport a fruit fucker, c'est de pouvoir gérer les assets aussi ^^
